Rohan Fernando, established the HVA Group in 1990 with a mission to elevate Ceylon tea as a lifestyle beverage on the global stage. In 1995, he launched HVA Foods (Pvt) Ltd. to focusing on value addition and branding, leading to the creation of the iconic "HELADIV” brand.
Under his guidance, the company embarked on numerous innovations including tea extractions for food and drinks and the first ever ready-to-drink teas in tetra packs. His contributions were recognized when he was named Sri Lanka Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015, being awarded a gold medal. He was also Chairman of the Tea Exporters Association of Sri Lanka from 2012 to 2016.
Under his leadership, HVA Foods made history by being listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2011, marking a new chapter in the company's growth. Today, his vision for sustainable agriculture, ethical business practices, and commitment to quality continue to inspire the development of new global ventures.
